Summer 2026 ….. so far

The summer is flying by fast. This summer I have had new experiences with film and cameras. In summary I have shot 2 sheets of 4X5; 9 rolls of medium format and 2 rolls of 35mm. I have used 9 rolls of color and 4 of black and white. 

I shot Flick Film’s latest offering, the 200 ISO Flick Film Fusion. I have acquired and shot some new cameras. The Kodak Duex is a 620 format (closely related to 120 format) camera that was produced between 1940 and 1942. This was a simple and fun camera to shoot and after 80 years it works fine. I made the foray into movie cameras with the Keystone A7 16mm camera and a Canon 310 XL Super 8 camera. My first film was fun; I’m looking forward to my Super 8 results soon. The developing and scanning takes some time and is costly. Other new cameras include a Nikon D70 that has an Infrared sensor and a Minolta Weathermatic A 110 weatherproof camera.

I enjoyed a tractor show in downtown Blissfield shot with Lomography Turquoise on my Yashica Mat 124. I had the opportunity to shoot while on a steam train ride with the Canon Super 8 and my Mamiya 645 1000s. While in Ohio I visited revolutionary war veteran cemetery sites with the Hasselblad 501 CM.

It’s been and interesting summer and here’s to what remains
